Requirements
- Strong experience in solutioning for performance testing and tuning opportunities and execution of performance engineering engagements
- Ability to act as an advisor on performance testing approach and tool choices
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in an organization to arrive at performance requirements, and subsequently provide technical guidance and direction in the implementation phase
- Experience on Performance testing tools such as Load Runner/ VSTS/Jmeter
- Creation and Execution of test scripts and reporting results for website and web applications
- Strong Unix & Linux skills, ability to write shell scripts for information gathering purposes
- Sound understanding of Application architecture, JVM tuning, GC, Thread Dump Analysis
- Monitoring of various server resources like DB connection pools, Threads, JMS queues/topics/modules etc.
- Good understanding of DB Architecture. SQL, PL/SQL, Performance Stats, familiarity with at least one Oracle tool like TOAD
- Author Performance test plans and test designs, workload analysis
- Multi-task between releases and prioritize task for next release
- Good understanding of Performance test Design and experience in preparing Test Plan and effort estimation
Responsibilities
- Provide performance testing strategy and guidance as an advisor to stakeholders across the organization and define performance requirements and approaches
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to arrive at performance requirements and provide technical guidance during implementation
- Create and execute performance test scripts and report results for websites and web applications
- Monitor server resources including database connection pools, threads, JMS queues and topics, modules, and other related resources during tests
- Develop and author performance test plans and test designs, and perform workload analysis
- Estimate effort and prepare tests plans for performance testing activities and releases
- Multi-task across multiple releases and prioritize tasks for the next release
- Perform design and execution of performance tests and tuning opportunities across the application stack
- Provide ongoing support and updates on performance testing engagements
