As Integrations Engineer, you will report to the Integrations Manager and serve as a core member of the integrations discipline on Pie’s Insurance Enterprise Technology team.  You will be part of an agile engineering team focused on creating frictionless operational experiences  through close partnerships with architects, system administrators, and internal stakeholders from product, customer, revenue, and employee domains. 

We are looking for a model practitioner who can communicate the "why" for things that are unquestioned in a product engineering setting yet seen as optional (maybe even wasteful) in a business systems context. As Integrations Engineer, you will also have the opportunity to design, implement, continuously improve, and maintain new and existing integrations across Pie’s evolving technical landscape. 

How You’ll Do It

• Maintain & Support Systems Engineering
• Design, build, document, and maintain highly modular software through a continuous delivery pipeline
• Create test suites following industry standards; enhance system monitoring and alerting capabilities
• Decompose requirements from technical leads and stakeholders to determine high level design and level of effort
• Contribute to a holistic integration topography that is consumable by multiple audiences
• Seek & Drive Continuous Improvement 
• Contribute to all aspects of the delivery pipeline across the integration landscape, from collaborative development through to deployment 
• Analyze system health and performance trends, identify existing or potential blockages and limitations, and importantly - recommend improvements
• Proactively contribute to and maintain a robust testing suite that balances quality commitments with speed to delivery
• Drive Operational Excellence 
• Champion Engineering best practices such as delivery pipelines, collaborative development via source control, pragmatic quality control, environment management
• Balance the recommended best practices of multiple systems and tools to achieve a scalable and maintainable equilibrium

The Right Stuff

• High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience as a systems or software engineer, focused primarily on the back-end 
• Proficiency with object-oriented programming languages like Java, C# or .Net, Javascript, Apex, Python
• Proficiency with component-based front-end frameworks like React, Lightning/Aura, Angular
• Deep understanding of modern software architecture and design principles
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure), their serverless capabilities (AppSync/AppFlow, Lambda, etc.), and database offerings (RDS, Cosmos, etc.)
• Experience with a variety of enterprise applications like Salesforce (preferably), Workday, Namely, D365, Intacct, Netsuite, etc.
• Experience with Scrum or Kanban in a complex software engineering setting
• Up to 10% travel could be required in this position, to our Denver or DC offices

Base Compensation Range for position $100,000 - $135,000
