THE ROLE
The Managing Consultant – Clinical Strategist, Oracle Health provides consulting services to clients in a project leadership capacity, works directly with the Oracle Health team to enable sales opportunities, supports solution development, and provides exceptional on-site solution delivery based upon the needs of Nordic clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Managing Consultant – Clinical Strategist, Oracle Health will perform, and is not limited to, any combination of the following duties and responsibilities below:
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead projects with a goal of delivering on time, on budget, and with great outcomes
- Monitor overarching project health; identify, mitigate, or escalate issues as needed
- Develop and maintain detailed project plan, communication plan, and risk/decision trackers
- Define, manage, and adhere to project scope
- Use, update, and customize client and Nordic-provided tools throughout project life cycle
- Create polished project deliverables and communications
- Present with confidence and well-polished demeanor; facilitate executive-level meetings
- Manage meetings effectively; prepare agendas and goals, take notes, track follow ups
- Produce regular status reports; perform project close, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer
Consultant Team Management
- Provide overall project and team direction in collaboration with Engagement Advisor
- Work with Engagement Advisor to interview and identify project team members, as needed
- Manage, coach, and mentor team, resolve conflicts, maintain positive team morale, and deliver direct and timely feedback based upon project work and performance
Sales Enablement & Solutions Development
- Support the creation of Nordic solution materials, such as toolkit documentation and proposals
- Discuss client needs with Implementation Services leadership for new solution creation
- Share lessons learned and best practices with the Implementation Services team and help improve our solutions, tools, and recommendations based on learnings
- Serve as lead advisor or project management consultant resource for client opportunities; work with Oracle Health leadership to build sales presentations and collateral and present to client
- Serve as a thought leader for the service line, creating webcasts, podcasts, white papers, and blog posts to educate prospective and existing clients
- Take direction from Nordic Home Office, including Engagement Advisor and Oracle Health leadership
- Work on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a clinical setting
- Experience in leading clinical workflow evaluations (both inpatient and ambulatory settings) in tandem with EHR improvements.
- 7+ years Oracle Health project leadership experience required
- Experience with merger, acquisition, or other EMR extension or implementation projects or optimizations
- Familiarity with using EHR analytics to support workflow evaluation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service attitude and skillset
- Self-starter with ability to meet deadlines and monitor one’s own work product
- Proven ability to thrive in and foster an existing team-oriented culture rooted in respect, high ethics and integrity, teamwork, camaraderie, collaboration, and effective communication
- Solution-oriented; skilled in grasping the essentials in complex situations, anticipating client needs, and conceptualizing both problems and solutions
- Experience in sales or presenting to large groups or key stakeholders preferred
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Works primarily at client locations, some of which may be in hospitals and medical clinics
- Additional work to be performed in a professional office environment and/or remotely
- Travel up to 80% of the time, including travel outside of regular work hours
- Position works a non-traditional schedule; work may be needed on weekends or evenings
