Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas CityThe Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a supervisor to lead the Law Enforcement Communications Center team. Applications will be accepted through December 31, 2024 with interviews expected to occur through mid-January.
The Communications Center is a 24/7 operation that provides safety and security support to Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officers by operating cameras, alarms, radios, and security access systems. The team is responsible for receiving and disseminating routine and critical information from various sources.

Provides daily oversight for Communications Center operations, including assisting team members, monitoring individual and team metrics, and collaborating on process improvements.
Familiar with federal and state CJIS policies and district and board CJIS policies to ensure Communications Center compliance.
Ensures Communications Center guidance and policy documents are current and appropriatelyfollowed by operators.
Partners closely with Law Enforcement IT unit to maintain or update Communications Center technology.
Oversees and develops Communications Center training programs (to include initial operator training, field training, and in-service training programs).
Collaborates with Law Enforcement training team to identifyadditionaltraining opportunities for operators.
Oversees scheduling and works with operators on various shifts as necessary for coaching.
Attends Bank leadership trainings and creates opportunities for team members to participate in Bank-wide/Bank-sponsored events.
Typically does not require any previous formal leadership role, experience demonstrating leadership skills informally required.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated awareness of strategic vision and focus.
Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment; motivate and work through others to accomplish tasks; and deal honestly and directly with others.
If not already attained, within the first year of employment will attend and successfully complete a Tenth District Law Enforcement-approved instructor development course, field training officer course, and communications center supervisor course.

Screening Requirements: This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while performing the job. These additional screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and can take up to a couple of months to be completed. You can begin work before the screening is completed; however, continued employment is contingent on acceptable screening results. The areas screened may include education/employment verification, criminal history, credit history, and reference checks.
