  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, banking, or financial services strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in transaction processing.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and banking software.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards preferred.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Greet members in a friendly and professional manner, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Process member transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account transfers.
  • Assist members with account inquiries, including balance inquiries, transaction history, and account maintenance requests.
  • Educate members about our products and services, including savings accounts, checking accounts, loans, and electronic banking options.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services to meet the financial needs of members.
  • Resolve member concerns and complaints promptly and effectively, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Adhere to all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and document preparation, as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and objectives, fostering a positive and cohesive work environment.
