AerSale misses Q2 revenue estimates by 13% as flight equipment sales stall

AerSale's second quarter results missed Wall Street expectations, with revenue of $70.93 million falling short of the $81.24 million estimate. The company posted a loss of $0.12 per share versus an expected profit of $0.04. Management attributed the underperformance to the timing of flight equipment sales, with no transactions completed during the quarter, and ramp-up costs at new maintenance, repair, and overhaul facilities. CEO Nicolas Finazzo said several delayed deals are expected to close in coming months. The Goodyear facility is operating at less than 20% capacity but anticipates substantial increases as aircraft storage converts to maintenance demand. CFO Martin Garmendia explained that leasing and complete flight equipment sales typically achieve higher margins than parting out for used serviceable material.

AerSale misses Q2 revenue estimates with $70.93M, delays asset sales hit margins

AerSale reported second-quarter revenue of $70.93 million, down 33.9% year on year and missing analyst estimates of $81.24 million. The aerospace and defence company posted a non-GAAP loss of $0.09 per share, significantly below the expected $0.07 profit. Chief executive Nicolas Finazzo attributed the weak performance to the timing of flight equipment sales, with no transactions completed during the quarter, and ongoing ramp-up costs at new maintenance, repair, and overhaul facilities. AerSale misses revenue estimates by 31% as USM sales prioritised for engine builds

AerSale reported first-quarter revenue of $70.61 million, missing analyst estimates of $102.5 million despite 7.4% year-on-year growth. The company's shares fell following the results. CEO Nicolas Finazzo attributed the shortfall to lower sales of used serviceable material, as the company prioritised internal use of components for engine builds to achieve higher margins. Temporary margin pressures also emerged from ramping up new maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities in Millington and Hialeah Gardens. CFO Martin Garmendia said both facilities are expanding capacity, with Millington expected to reach gross margins above 20% at full utilisation. Adjusted EBITDA of $7.36 million slightly beat estimates, whilst adjusted EPS matched forecasts at $0. The company's market capitalisation stands at $306.2 million.
