Responsibilities
  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, shopfloor production planning, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel to ensure equipment reliability and availability to meet production targets.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, vendor communications, and team responses to breakdowns and emergencies.
  • Train and mentor maintenance associates to improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.
  • Oversee process experts to ensure equipment and processes comply with manufacturer and internal company specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement Manager to implement lean manufacturing principles.
  • Balance spare parts inventory to minimize machine downtime and inventory cost.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee technical projects to improve lab processes and equipment performance.
  • Implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance lab efficiency.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain KPIs to drive desired behaviors and track operational performance.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Present maintenance KPI data and preventive maintenance schedules to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team through effective leadership and staff development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Empower employees to take ownership of projects and contribute to operational success.
  • Monitor lab spending and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
  • Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings.
  • Drive compliance with all regulatory and industry safety requirements.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture that prioritizes satisfaction and recognizes competitive alternatives.
