Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1-3 years’ proven experience in production engineering or a similar role within a high tech manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and quality control practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, process improvement methodologies, and production management.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software and tools (e.g., Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Statistical Process Control).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Monitor production lines and adjust schedules and workflows to meet production targets.
  • Ensure that production processes are operating within established quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure meeting daily Key Performance Indicators.
  • Responsible for the overall shop floor according to area/section assigned.
  • Ensure all assigned production employees undergo required training and perform their job accordingly.
  • Report daily achievement and issues to management.
  • Responsible for shop floor stock accuracy.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and product quality.
  • Monitor and maintain product quality through regular inspections and testing.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions and process deviations.
  • Collaborate with process and equipment teams to address complex problems and implement solutions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Develop and enforce safety procedures and training programs for production staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including process changes, equipment checklist, and quality control.
  • Prepare and present reports on production performance, issues, and improvement initiatives.
  • Document and communicate best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Work closely with production staff, engineers, and other departments to achieve production goals.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or project management.
  • Experience in Solar cell manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the production sector.
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and update skills.
