Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
  • An active and unrestricted pharmacist license in Florida.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and verification tools.

Responsibilities
  • Perform PV2 verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, including Drug Enforcement Administration and Food and Drug Administration guidelines, while maintaining accurate records.
  • Identify and resolve prescription discrepancies or issues before fulfillment to ensure medication safety and accuracy.
  • Work closely with pharmacy technicians, PV1 pharmacists, and fulfillment staff during the shift.
  • Monitor and maintain productivity metrics in alignment with pharmacy goals and efficiency benchmarks.
  • Assist in troubleshooting prescription processing, verification system, and workflow interruption issues during the midnight shift.
  • Provide end-of-shift updates to the incoming team to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of operations.
  • Work in a fast-paced mail order pharmacy setting, including extended periods of standing, computer-station work, and occasional manual handling of medications and equipment.
  • Work rotating shifts, weekends, and locations as needed to support pharmacy operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional state pharmacist licenses are a plus.
