Position Description:
We are looking for a Grant Manager to join our Community Design team to improve infrastructure in our Bay City, Flint, Detroit, or Taylor, MI. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations and one to five years of grant writing, administration, and reporting experience. Managing grant development and demonstrated success securing grant funding is preferred. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Grant writing
- Manage grant application process in a manner that meets or exceeds required contractual deliverables.
- Research public and private funding/grant programs.
- Develop professional communications and reports.
- Develop and maintain progress reports for clients.
- Maintain grant databases in Excel and SharePoint-based systems.
- Census data/socio-economic analysis.
- Conduct project specific research through interviews, literature reviews, etc.
- Participate in various meetings (staff, client community, etc.)
- Assist with writing proposals and creating presentations.
- Maintain excellent client relations.
- Develop and implement quality control measures.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations
Skills/Experience:
- 1-5 years experience in grant writing, administrations, and reporting.
- Experience managing grant development and demonstrated success securing grant funding is preferred.
