General Function:

The Specimen Acquisition Business Integrator aligns the SM ISC strategies with the Business Platform(s), provides direction and leadership to ensure seamless execution of strategic goals through collaboration and action driven mindset. Enhance capacity planning and operational excellence by driving efficiency in network operations, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain strategies.Empower teams to maximize performance and drive global business growth through strong communication and cross-functional integration.

Responsibilities:

Business / Platform (s):

• Critical member of the SM ISC extended leadership team and the SM Platform teams. 

• Is part of the platform leadership team as the single point of contact between the platforms/businesses and SM ISC and is accountable for achieving the business platform strategic goals.

• Develop ISC objectives aligned with business/platform strategy and formulate operations plans to meet these objectives. Provide analysis, alternative evaluations and define recommendations to achieve results.

• Accountable for the E2E execution, ensuring functions and plant performance achieve platform goals.  Meet with Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, QA and other functions to ensure plant programs are aligned with market needs and get required support to complete implementation.

Capacity Management:

• Align ISC strategies with the worldwide platform teams, supply chain organization, and regional management in assessing capacity needs, developing capacity, sourcing, and supply plans and in developing manufacturing capacity strategies.

• Responsible for the strategic deployment and coordination of the capital investments within the SM Platform teams and ensure successful execution of the implementation plans.

• Provides prioritization and guidance to other functions in support of capacity projects execution (PMO, GIE, Quality).

Product Sustaining & GP :

• Represent and lead SM ISC on multiple platform leadership teams/businesses connected to the respective sustaining and change to win teams, procurement, supply chain, and plants.

• Address key operations issues that have major cost, quality, supply, revenue, asset utilization and/or strategic impacts. Acts globally working across mfg. sites.

• Provide leadership and coordination to get plant priorities approved, resourced, and implemented. Meet with marketing, R&D, Regulatory, QA and others to ensure plant programs are aligned with market needs and get required support to complete implementation.

• Accountable for GP improvement targets execution. Supports manufacturing sites and SM GP Improvement team in the prioritization and execution of projects.

New Product Development & Innovation:

• Responsible for the Operations workstreams related to NPD introduction, from Innovation assessment to full GPDS projects execution and launch.

• Maintains a strong communication pathway with the ISC VPs, collaborates with plant managers, GIE, R&D and others to develop the manufacturing strategy and production plans for the startup of new products and line extensions including the selection of equipment and methods.

Network and Strategy:

• Responsible for the strategic deployment and coordination of the ISC strategies including network optimization, GP improvement initiatives, and capital investments within the SM Platform teams and ensure successful execution of the implementation plans.

• As part of the platform leadership team, coordinates with the other functions the inputs from the platforms with special focus on business needs/strategy/capacity and demand, sourcing strategy in partnership with procurement, manufacturing strategy make vs buy, supply chain and network strategy (linked to IBP process), and regional requirements.

$169,700.00 - $305,700.00 USD Annual
