We are seeking a Planning Manager to be based in Kansas City, MO.

Position Overview:

The Owner Furnished Equipment Planning Coordinator plays a critical role in the successful procurement and installation of owner-furnished equipment (OFE) for our construction projects. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of OFE planning, from budget development and vendor selection to delivery and commissioning. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of OFE into the overall project schedule and budget. 

Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

• Develop and maintain accurate OFE budgets, including cost estimates for equipment, delivery, installation, commissioning, and training. 
• Identify and research potential vendors for OFE needs based on project specifications and technical requirements. 
• Coordinate the preparation of bid packages and solicitations for OFE procurement. 
• Evaluate vendor proposals and make recommendations for selection based on price, quality, technical specifications, and delivery schedule. 
• Negotiate contracts with selected vendors and manage purchase orders. 
• Track and monitor the status of OFE orders, including fabrication, delivery, and installation. 
• Coordinate with contractors and engineers on installation requirements, technical specifications, and commissioning procedures. 
• Manage logistics and schedule delivery of OFE to the project site in accordance with project timelines. 
• Perform site inspections of delivered equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. 
• Coordinate with commissioning agents to ensure proper installation and startup of OFE. 
• Develop and maintain documentation, including equipment lists, technical specifications, vendor contracts, and inspection reports. 
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on OFE status and progress. 
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to streamline OFE procurement and installation processes. 
• Development and maintenance of planning & scheduling processes and procedures
• Development and maintenance of earned value management processes and procedures.
• Development and maintenance of internal company plans & schedules.
• Contribute to reviews of Contractor execution plans & schedules.
• Provide oversight and leadership to internal Planning & Scheduling team.
• Set up and maintain reporting and dashboard templates for consistent communication.
• Employ forensic schedule analysis to support Time Impact or other commercial claims analysis.
• Operate as administrator of Company Primavera database and maintain governance.
• Establish Acumen Fuse diagnostic tools, templates and standards.
• Present and effectively communicate plan & schedule information internally and externally.
• Develop and maintain graphical summary depictions of execution plan.

Job Qualifications

• Relevant planning & scheduling experience in major Oil & Gas engineering and construction projects using Primavera P6
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment procurement and/or project management. 
• Strong understanding of OFE procurement processes and best practices. 
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management software. 
• Knowledge of relevant construction codes and regulations preferred. 
• Familiar with collaboration with EPC’s, Pipelines and CAPEX are essential.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio skills
• Strong work ethic with ability to effectively prioritize, meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities and business needs, and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information.
