Responsibilities
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, solicit bids, and negotiate terms and pricing.
  • Track requisitions, contracts, and purchase orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Partner with internal departments to forecast supply needs and maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Resolve vendor issues related to quality, delivery delays, or pricing discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and support contract renewals.
  • Seek cost-saving opportunities through vendor negotiations, bulk purchasing, and alternative products.
  • Maintain purchasing documentation and supplier records in compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Prepare and present purchasing activity and cost trend reports as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with departments regarding order status, changes, and alternatives.
  • Support WarHorse’s Mission, Vision, and Values in all purchasing activities.
