Requirements
  • A four-year college degree is required.
  • Previous sales experience in a comparable hotel size and scope is required.
  • Public relations and community marketing experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Delphi, and Access database tools is required.
  • The role requires moderate travel between the hotel and clients’ locations.
  • The work schedule varies and may occasionally include holidays and weekends.
  • The role requires sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 10 pounds, bending, reaching, and using hands and fingers to operate a keyboard.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans against a defined hotel budget to maximize revenues through direct sales, marketing, e-commerce channels, public relations, and community partnerships.
  • Develop a strong e-commerce presence by managing internet-market and social-media opportunities and relationships.
  • Partner with the Director of Revenue Management to develop, communicate, and implement sales strategies, mix of business, channel management, and pricing strategies.
  • Use internal and external resources and data to develop strategic plans incorporating all business segments.
  • Understand sales and business processes, support corporate and hotel goals, and contribute to enhancing customer value.
  • Identify customer business requirements and craft customer offers that increase the hotel’s revenue share.
  • Monitor achievement of objectives for the sales team and take appropriate action to correct shortfalls against the annual marketing plan.
  • Achieve annual hotel revenue goals established in the annual budget.
  • Maintain hotel relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and account revenue.
  • Use professional sales techniques to negotiate terms and conditions that satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
  • Articulate and leverage the benefits of the hotel to close sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and maintain a current annual marketing plan with measurable and specific initiatives to maintain and grow each business segment.
  • Model proper selling techniques, develop others effectively, and support industry and personal development.
  • Develop effective oral and written presentations in which ideas, opinions, recommendations, and conclusions are clearly understood.
  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and HHM core values.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, and review competition.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Monarch Alternative Capital Grows Orlando Hospitality Portfolio Through Multiple Acquisitions

NEW YORK and LONDON, July 13, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Monarch Alternative Capital LP, a leading investment firm with approximately $9.4 billion of assets under management, announced the purchase of three hotels in Orlando, Florida. Given the firm's established reputation within the market, Monarch was able to acquire the newly-built, high quality properties located in Orlando submarkets adjacent to Monarch's existing hotels at a discount to replacement cost in off-market transactions. With these acquisitions, Monarch's hospitality portfolio in Orlando now totals approximately 2,000 keys across seven properties. As the Orlando market continues to show encouraging signs of economic recovery, these hotel purchases exemplify Monarch's ability to identify and invest in premium properties in an attractive and dynamic market that is poised to outperform as the business cycle evolves.
