Requirements
- Secondary school education completed; a college or university degree is an asset
- A minimum of two years of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in selling plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom products in a showroom
- A valid driver's license and an intact driving record
- Ability to develop a deep knowledge of the products shown in the showroom; ability to suggest the appropriate product to meet the client's needs; promote value-added services
- Knowledge of design trends in kitchens and bathrooms
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
- Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills
- Excellent ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and teammates
- Ability to determine customer needs, provide solutions, and close the sale
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to learn and use the applicable software system used to process orders
- Moderate math skills
Responsibilities
- Help showroom customers assess their needs, guide product choices and close the sale
- Develop and build strong relationships with designers, builders and architects to increase profitable sales
- Provide customers with quick and reliable proposals, and accurate delivery dates
- Meet or exceed sales and gross profit targets, by month and by product
- Enter orders and proposals into the system, activate purchases while maintaining proactive communication with customers
- Investigate customer issues and resolve; promptly handle delinquent payments and returns in a way that exceeds customer expectations and benefits the Profit Center
- Maintain product documentation and ensure it is up to date so customers have access to the latest information
- Generate showroom sales through promotional sales and by maintaining display equipment in good condition
- Understand and comply with all safety regulations in client facilities and in the Profit Center
- Perform any other tasks as requested by the Director of the Profit Center
