Requirements
  • Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track records
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Sales operations with the other departments of the organization.
  • Develop and/or maintain and improve business relations with all customers of the organization.
  • Ensure maintenance of customer database.
  • Responsible for targeting new customers and new sales opportunities, initiate action plan to approach and secure new business for the organization.
  • Any matter which may affect the interests of the hotel should be brought to the attention of the Management.
  • Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in the development of the Strategic Sales Plan for the organization.
  • Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing to direct the Sales & Marketing department to achieve objectives established in the Organization’s Strategic Plan.
  • Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments of the hotel to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, and guest service.
  • Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that the team has been trained for all safety provisions.
  • Ensure that all personnel are kept well informed of department’s objectives and policies.
  • Motivate and develop team to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.
  • Identify optimal, cost-effective use of the resources and educate the team on the same.
  • Coordinate all activities to maintain and increase business volume. This includes advertising, sales promotions, personal selling, publicity, community relations, special sales projects, employee training and guest relations.
  • To identify new business by generating new leads.
  • Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing to prepare Annual Sales goals, develop working plans to carry out goals, compare actual achievements against goals and hence take necessary corrective action.
  • To meet or exceed agreed sales targets.
  • Review internal promotion material on a regular basis to ensure that they are consistent with standards set by the Management.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Manager Public Relations to improve relations between the Organization and the society at large to obtain maximum media coverage of activities within the premises which are of interest locally and internationally.
  • To maintain a productive and professional relationship with all clients.
  • Submit monthly and weekly sales plan and market analysis (monthly) as well as daily sales/activity reports.
  • Maintain close contacts within the neighboring hospitality sectors, with airlines, travel agencies, commercial houses, private clubs, professional associates, etc, to capture business.
  • Develop and promote organization’s image and awareness by direct mail campaigns.
  • Handle additional responsibilities as and when delegated by the Management.
