AESC makes lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage, developing, manufacturing, and selling power batteries to major automakers and storage providers with a global, local-for-local manufacturing network. Its products include LFP and NCM chemistries in pouch, prismatic, and cylindrical formats, with Gen5 using NCM 811 to boost energy density, charging speed, and range; large-format cells are being prepared for grid storage as well. The company differentiates itself through its worldwide manufacturing footprint, breadth of chemistries and formats, a track record of mass production since 2010 (including Nissan LEAF batteries), and a strong focus on safety and reliability. Its goal is to deliver dependable, high-performance battery solutions that support zero-emission mobility and scalable grid-scale storage for leading automakers and energy providers.

DENSO and TĂśV Rheinland Japan validate battery passport for AESC energy storage products ahead of EU mandate

DENSO and TĂśV Rheinland Japan have validated a battery passport for AESC Group's energy storage products using actual data, confirming its compliance with the EU Battery Regulation ahead of the February 2027 mandate. DENSO provided the technological foundation for generating and managing battery passports, which enables access to battery information via QR codes whilst maintaining data security. TĂśV Rheinland Japan, acting as an independent certification body, verified the system's regulatory compliance and data reliability based on EU standards. AESC supplied data from its existing energy storage systems business and has implemented sustainability measures across its supply chain, including battery recycling frameworks. The validation confirmed the solution's practicality for real-world business integration. The companies will now expand their efforts to include AESC's automotive batteries for broader market implementation.
