Requirements
  • The candidate must be at least 21 years of age.
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience working in youth programs.
  • The candidate must have at least 6 months of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • The candidate must have a genuine interest in sports, physical activity, and working outdoors.
  • The candidate must have strong communication skills with TK–5th grade children and adults.
  • The candidate must be available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM during the school year.
  • The candidate must be available for all designated holiday camp days throughout the year.
  • The candidate must be available for summer camp programming from June through mid-August.
  • The candidate must hold CPR and First Aid certification; training is available upon hire.
  • The candidate must obtain fingerprint background check clearance.
  • The candidate must obtain TB test clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the morning recess program and afternoon after-school sports program.
  • Structure the day, build the curriculum, and ensure smooth daily program flow.
  • Run pre-program huddles and post-program reflections with the coaching team.
  • Manage station rotations and time effectively across groups of 30–50 students.
  • Set up equipment before each session and clean up afterward.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of 3–4 coaches across both programs.
  • Directly manage the Assistant Site Lead and Lead Coach assigned to the after-school program site.
  • Delegate roles, provide real-time feedback, and build team morale.
  • Address attendance, performance, or effort issues professionally and promptly.
  • Assist with staff training on ANTS Sports procedures and protocols.
  • Coach various sports for TK–5th grade students in a fun, age-appropriate, and high-energy manner.
  • Lead group meetings to establish and reinforce class agreements, sportsmanship, and safety rules.
  • Follow procedures for behavior management, incidents, and escalations.
  • Dismiss students safely according to site-specific procedures.
  • Build professional relationships with students, parents, teachers, and school staff.
  • Communicate proactively with principals, assistant principals, and teachers.
  • Represent ANTS Sports within the school community.
  • Maintain equipment spaces and contribute to bulletin boards and marketing materials.
  • Track attendance and manage check-in and check-out safety procedures.
  • Complete incident reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and bi-weekly after-school program Site Lead leadership meetings.
  • Manage equipment systems across assigned sites, with a maximum of two sites.
  • Manage customer service requests from parents and family members.
  • Transition into full-time summer camp programming as a Camp Lead or Camp Coach, depending on experience and performance.

  • The candidate may be interested in structured leadership development through the Site Lead certification system.
  • The candidate may be interested in advancement into Program Supervisor and multi-site leadership roles.
