Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing is required.

Responsibilities
  • Understand, follow, and enforce established safety, health, quality, Good Manufacturing Practices, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Communicate quality information with supervisors, managers, other shifts, and departments verbally and through written documents according to plant practice.
  • Maintain quality reports and start-up and qualification-related documents and forms.
  • Set up and maintain product files in the Infinity QS data collection system for variable and attribute data entered by quality assurance, production, and maintenance personnel.
  • Develop and analyze statistical data, control charts, and product specifications to determine current standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectations for finished products.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other assigned related activities.
  • Formulate and maintain quality action plans to achieve quality assurance objectives.
  • Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Maintain quality inspection procedures.
  • Complete required written documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage heldware and rework processes.
  • Coordinate quality activities with other departments to achieve plant objectives in compliance with plant procedures.
  • Order, maintain, and repair quality testing equipment and gauges.
  • Conduct and maintain scheduled calibrations of quality test equipment and gauges.
  • Coordinate quality control training for employees engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products.
  • Perform the tasks and responsibilities of Quality Assurance Technicians and Laboratory Technicians as needed.
  • Participate actively on organizational teams.
  • In the absence of the Quality Manager, work with the Production Manager to establish priorities for quality staff and maintain product quality.
  • Assist with customer complaint investigations and the corrective action process.
  • Ensure operators and PMT Leads follow procedures for conducting tests and inspections.
  • Change over challenge test samples during product changeovers.
  • Assist plant personnel with information technology support for Infinity and quality reporting systems.
  • Maintain and conduct the gauge repeatability and reproducibility system.
  • Make limited work-related travel as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A minimum of 6 months of quality experience is preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others by proactively contributing to group objectives and volunteering to help others.

Graham Packaging names Katy Vu as new CFO. Rachel Curry, Contributing Writer//May 15, 2026// Graham Packaging, which manufactures rigid plastic packaging and containers, announced on May 4 the appointment of Katy Vu as the new chief financial officer. Vu previously served as CFO for Bunzl North America, a division of global distribution and services company Bunzl PLC. She managed financials for the nearly $9 billion business and helped drive more than 20 acquisitions for the company. Founded in 1970, Graham is headquartered in Lancaster with a flagship manufacturing location in York. The company produces 15 billion containers per year across more than 60 global locations. "Katy has spent more than 15 years leading global finance and business operations with a strong track record of driving performance, growth and operational excellence," Bob Pyle, president and CEO of Graham Packaging, said in a statement. "Her ability to partner across organizations, apply strong analytical insights and build high-performing teams will be instrumental as we execute our strategy and deliver value for our customers." Vu holds a bachelor of science in economics and international development from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom and an executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA). Vu succeeds Kris Warfel, who will transition to president of Graham's Food & Beverage business.
