Requirements
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience within the following areas: Investor Relations, equity or credit buy-side or sell-side research, corporate finance, or investment banking, ideally with a focus on financial services
  • A high level of numeracy with a knowledge of financial analysis and valuation techniques
  • University degree
  • CFA or equivalent qualification desirable
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and management of complex documents (e.g., management Q&A, earnings press releases, and corporate presentations)
  • Attend meetings with executive management and other business unit leaders to better understand the financial and strategic impact of management actions
  • Document institutional investor interaction by participating in investor meetings and industry conferences with senior members of the IR team
  • Analyze sell-side models in detail and understand street expectations. Distribute market consensus estimates internally
  • Help to gather competitive intelligence through research efforts in collaboration with other areas of the firm. Help to provide analysis and insights on State Street’s competitive position (actual and perceived), strategic advantages, threats and opportunities
  • Manage a weekly recap of market news, including both its content and distribution
  • Assist in other ad-hoc projects as required
