Requirements
  • Five to seven years of enterprise architecture experience.
  • Sound experience building enterprise technical solutions and strategies.
  • Leadership experience managing multiple large, cross-functional teams or projects and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience as a domain architect or enterprise architect supporting a large insurance or brokerage organization, with direct accountability for architecting capabilities across complex, high-volume operational platforms and business processes core to the client, policy, service, and financial lifecycle.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate existing projects, assess required business capabilities, define the target landscape, and create roadmaps that deliver necessary functionality to drive the business.
  • Participate in designing and building MMA’s business-unit enterprise architecture group, including architecture review standards, key principles, and core processes.
  • Become the subject matter expert for one or more business capability domains and quickly understand complex upstream and downstream process dependencies across core servicing, transaction, and operational workflows.
  • Provide overall direction, guidance, and definition of information technology architecture within assigned domains to support corporate business strategy.
  • Provide critical review and feedback on proposals and initiatives and technical expertise for projects on a consulting and troubleshooting basis.
  • Develop implementation proposals for new applications, capabilities, and services.
  • Partner with project sponsors and business users to understand solution requirements and needs, especially within complex servicing environments dependent on tightly integrated workflows, high data fidelity, and operational resilience.
  • Manage development of supporting application components, system interfaces and designs, and deployment of new systems and services.
  • Ensure the quality of technology deliverables by contributing to and communicating standards and best practices for development, quality assurance, security, and service onboarding.
  • Keep current with industry trends, including solution architecture frameworks and patterns, emerging technologies, and best practices, and communicate opportunities to leadership and business-unit peers.
  • Advise and mentor technology colleagues and team members on technology skills, principles, processes, and technologies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proven ability to translate into non-technical audiences and sell a vision successfully to both information technology and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to align business objectives with information technology strategy by translating complex insurance operating model requirements into clear, actionable architectural roadmaps that drive business transformation, operational excellence, and scalable platform modernization.
  • An understanding of insurance broking, risk management, or employee benefits processes and solutions.
  • Experience in large-scale application rationalization programs.
  • TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Certification.
