Requirements
  • Master educator with an MA in a relevant field (i.e., curriculum studies, educational foundations – philosophy, sociology, and history of education, critical pedagogy, comparative education) and extensive relevant experience as a school educator/pedagogue/community educator/ NGO organizer and educator
  • PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset
  • Expert knowledge of global education issues
  • Expert knowledge of social justice issues in education
  • Expert knowledge of foundational issues in education
  • Expert knowledge of contemporary issues in education
  • Expert knowledge of comparative education
  • Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level
  • Experience as a school administrator, institutional leader, community leader, NGO organizer and educator, and/or master teacher/instructor in the Quebec educational system is an asset
  • Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion
  • Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences
  • Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset
  • Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools

The McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship helps people at McGill turn ideas into startups by providing education, mentorship, and practical startup frameworks.
