Requirements
  • Education and knowledge: Degree: Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Training: air separation plant, hydrogen, cogeneration technology, as required.
  • Knowledge: business acumen, oral and written communication skills, good knowledge of laws and regulations relating to labor relations, the environment, and occupational health and safety.
  • Required experience: More than 10 years of experience in a continuous operational environment, preferably in the chemical industry sector
Responsibilities
  • Plans daily production activities: Develops an action plan for production and makes necessary changes in accordance with efficient operations, cost factors, deadlines, and the requirements of distribution channels and business customers.
  • Establishes production and quality control standards or discusses them with the Operations Control Center (OCC) management team to establish them.
  • Determines production priorities while considering operational efficiency and cost factors.
  • Establishes and monitors performance indicators and ensures that productivity targets are met.
  • Balances operating costs and financial objectives.
  • Approves work orders.
  • Analyzes production and quality issues: Prepares and/or reviews reports on production, quality control, maintenance, and operations to determine the causes of non-compliance with product specifications and operational and production issues.
  • Determines actions to be taken to improve operations.
  • Ensures that products comply with specifications and that sufficient quantities are available for customers.
  • Assigns actions to be taken and follows up on them through the INTELEX system.
  • Conducts root cause analyses as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards: Ensures that staffing needs are met.
  • Ensures the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Ensures that all operational procedures, standards, and safety and environmental plans are followed and complied with.
  • Manages accident investigations and all resulting activities.
  • Regularly evaluates safety and environmental plans and makes necessary changes.
  • Provides coaching and development for production team members: Ensures that staffing needs are met.
  • Provides training and supervision to team members in order to achieve local and company objectives.
  • Develops development programs for team members and supports them in their efforts to achieve quantity and quality objectives.
  • Assists in their career development.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback on results achieved.
  • Maintains effective working relationships: Ensures communication between management, employees, and their representatives.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs and concerns of team members.
  • Encourages the sharing of experiences and makes knowledge and expertise accessible.
  • Participates in contract negotiations with unions or employee committees.
  • Process improvement: Suggests and implements ways to improve processes and performance indicators.
  • Finds ways to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Participates in technical development projects or studies.
  • Recommends quality and safety procedures, as well as changes to local procedures and action plans.
  • Manages the budget: Prepares and manages expenses (production and maintenance) in accordance with service and company guidelines.
  • Makes proposals to optimize operations.
  • Bases decisions on operating expenses.
  • Ensures the profitability of investments.
  • Performs cost analyses and takes the necessary measures.
  • Publishes the corresponding administrative reports.

Air Liquide launches $565M green bond to refinance hydrogen and sustainability projects

Air Liquide has launched its first green bond issue, raising €500 million to finance and refinance sustainable projects including hydrogen development. The 10-year bond was issued at a yield of 0.461% under the group's Euro Medium Term Note programme. Proceeds will refinance Air Liquide's September 2021 bond maturities and support the company's long-term growth. The issuance follows ambitious sustainable projects announced in March, particularly focused on reducing CO2 emissions. Fabienne Lecorvaisier, Executive Vice-President of Finance and Operations, said the transaction demonstrates investor confidence in Air Liquide's sustainability commitments. The company plans to become a regular issuer of sustainable bonds, integrating ESG considerations with economic and financial performance in its growth strategy.

Air Liquide raises $793M in inaugural Swiss franc bond issuance

Air Liquide has completed a multi-tranche bond issuance totalling 640 million Swiss francs (approximately €702 million). The transaction, carried out under the Group's Euro Medium Term Note programme, comprises three tranches with maturities of 5, 8 and 12 years at a weighted average interest rate below 1% annually. The proceeds will finance the Group's general needs. Chief Financial Officer Jérôme Pelletan described the inaugural Swiss franc bond issue as an important milestone in Air Liquide's financial diversification strategy, demonstrating investor confidence in the company's business model and financial strength whilst supporting long-term growth.
