Requirements
  • Post-secondary education/certification or actively pursuing it in an applicable functional or business designation.
  • At least three years of insurance industry/functional experience.
  • Understanding of agile project delivery methodologies.
Responsibilities
  • Report to the Director, Underwriting and Product, Insurance Services.
  • Develop relationships with insurance business partners to understand their operation and provide recommendations to solve strategic and operational needs.
  • Plan and prioritize stories within a sprint plan.
  • Participate in daily triage/scrum meetings to resolve issues, address changes and report on progress.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the sprint results in a working product that can be shared with leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Break down features into user stories to help deliver high-priority business value.
  • Provide and analyze data to make informed decisions and mitigate risks.
  • Evaluate problems and opportunities from both a business and customer perspective to determine the best approach.
  • Gather requirements to support solutions by conducting interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process description, document analysis, use cases, tasks and workflow analysis.
  • Assists team members with understanding system functionality, resolving straightforward system maintenance or production issues.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification in agile project delivery or related field would be a bonus.
