- Minimum of 3 years of building trades experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment.
- Experience utilizing technical drawings (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing).
- Proficient with cost analysis, labor, and material savings best-practices.
- Experience with the proper utilization of PPE.
- Targeted Certifications may be required (concentrated skillsets listed below): Option 1 - Industrial Electrician, Option 2 - Industrial Plumber, Option 3 - Industrial HVAC.
- Responding to malfunctioning or failing equipment issues to provide basic troubleshooting skills and make needed repairs.
- Conducting routine, periodic, preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment to determine if repair or maintenance work is needed to improve asset reliability.
- Working directly with building trades Contractors and Engineers on building systems and critical subsystems.
- Using blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
- Prioritizing work-orders for the facilities maintenance team.
- Utilizing strong customer service skills when interacting with other personnel in the DC.
- Using root-cause problem solving tools to develop corrective action plans.
- Following departmental standards and procedures for handling infectious waste, recycling, and trash disposal.
- Participating in safety training, skills training, and facilities improvement follow-up activities.
- Ensuring work is completed using appropriate safety guidelines.
