  • Bachelors degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s with 6 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 3 years of experience, In lieu of a degree, 12 years of experience will be considered.
  • 5 years of progressive software engineering/development experience.
  • Experience as a team lead for a software development team.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • No clearance required to start, but must have the ability to obtain and hold a DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI.
  • Bachelors degree of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other STEM degree (preferred).
  • 7 years of progressive Software Engineering/Development experience (preferred).
  • 3 years of experience leading a software development team (preferred).
  • Experience as a scrum master and/or product owner (preferred).
  • Experience with functional management (preferred).
  • Experience managing a budget for technical activities (preferred).
  • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket) (preferred).
Responsibilities
  • Providing technical oversight through the entire software development lifecycle (including design, development, integration, and maintenance) of software components along with support of system integration and test.
  • Managing and leading a matrixed functional team of software engineers (approx. 10-15 engineers) through software process, career development, and performance appraisals.
  • Participating in proposal generation, staffing allocations, and recruiting.
  • Guiding their team in applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle in support of programs.
  • Utilizing an Agile development approach with tasks including decomposition of requirements into agile features, software design, coding, testing, integration, and systems test to deliver enhanced secure capabilities.
