- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of an approved EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Advanced, or Paramedic program is required; military medical experience may be considered.
- Current Virginia or National Registry EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Advanced, or EMT-Paramedic certification is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are required.
- Assist providers with invasive and non-invasive procedures, including electrocardiograms, intravenous insertions, and phlebotomy.
- Deliver safe, age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
- Collect, document, and interpret patient data to support clinical decision-making.
- Maintain a safe, efficient patient-care environment.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical team members to ensure excellent patient experiences.
- One year of field experience is preferred but not required.
