Requirements
  • 1-3+ years of experience in designing, building, and validating imaging optics at scale.
  • Experience in lens and illumination system, testing, and validation.
  • Familiarity with optical simulation design using Zemax, LightTools, FRED, TracePro, or CODEV.
  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting for validating optics in both prototype and production scenarios.
  • Degree in Optical Science/Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in lens selection, design, and tolerance analysis.
  • Experience in mass production of optical devices preferred.
  • Experience with CMOS Image sensors or related imaging area preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Development and testing of our camera-based computer vision system, including ideation and early concept development, modeling, proof of concept assembly, testing and analysis.
  • Work with Sales and Product team members to refine system optical requirements for our camera and illumination system.
  • Review optical models, both lens and system level using simulation software.
  • Design lab test protocols and image quality metrics for lens, module, and camera shroud evaluation.
  • Work with suppliers to get optical components and subassemblies manufactured per specification.
