Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Technical discipline (e.g. Engineering), or related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in a thermoset composites environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management, including experience with Lean principles and practices, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to interpret operating metrics and financial data to diagnose performance and manage production goals.
  • Excellent leadership, managerial, supervisory, and planning/execution skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and sustain high levels of team engagement and motivation.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong customer service orientation, interpersonal skills, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to appropriately manage confidential, sensitive information.
Responsibilities
  • Leads Production, Purchasing, Production Control/Planning, Maintenance, Shipping and Receiving in the planning, organization and execution of their responsibilities to meet customer expectations. Develops and implements operational strategies, priorities, and activities to ensure delivery on customer commitments and attainment of CR business objectives.
  • Drives ongoing development and deployment of roles, responsibilities, and objectives for team members and supporting practices and policies to ensure execution on deliverables.
  • Partners closely with business aligned Lean champion(s) on Lean transformation planning and execution, and ongoing continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develops and implements highly effective communication and engagement strategies to ensure that teams are informed, aligned, and motivated to accomplish objectives.
  • Provides leadership and management of Re:Builders to ensure effective selection, development, retention, and performance management.
  • Owns ongoing performance KPIs and metrics and uses them to drive improvement in the business and volume/workflow planning. Regularly summarizes and communicates operational data to internal partners with focus in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
  • Continuously evaluates proactive and responsive labor needs to meet overall business and production goals. Participates in capacity planning activities to support business sustainment and growth.
  • Creates and sustains a highly-collaborative environment across their teams and their close partnership with Sales, Engineering, and Technology teams to determine pricing, timing, and non-recurring engineering (NRE) demands and prioritizing of activities to ensure alignment on customer commitments.
  • Coordinates with other support departments such Engineering, Program Management, Sales, Technical Development, Quality, Finance, and Human Resources to ensure successful production operations.
  • Assists with budget preparation for the operations unit and manages ongoing performance on production costs and operating efficiencies.
  • Champion for the CR Team Agreements and Re:Build Way.
