SpiderWare is a remote London-based game studio that develops and publishes Soulbound: Online. The game blends traditional MMORPG elements with roguelite mechanics, featuring a persistent overworld for quests and socializing plus procedurally generated, bullet-hell dungeons that can be played solo or in three-player co-op, with classless progression, player housing, crafting, and cosmetics. The studio differentiates itself by using a startup, community-driven approach and focusing on novel designs rather than copying existing formulas. Its goal is to release Soulbound: Online in Early Access, gather player feedback, and refine pacing, systems, and balance while growing an engaged online community around a non-traditional MMORPG experience.
