Requirements
  • 2–4+ years as an individual contributor in Solutions Architecture / Sales Engineering / Integration Consulting at a B2B Software-as-a-Service company, operating in fast-paced, customer-facing environments
  • Proven sales presence—comfortable leading discovery and whiteboarding on sales calls, answering technical integration questions, and translating requirements into clear scopes and timelines
  • Demonstrated ownership of API-based integrations end-to-end (discovery → scope → design → engineering handoff → acceptance) without writing code
  • Strong grasp of integration fundamentals: REST, GraphQL, webhooks, OAuth2/OIDC/SAML SSO, pagination/rate limits, retries/idempotency, batching vs. event-driven, and data mapping
  • Ability to read and reason about technical artifacts (API documentation, OpenAPI/Swagger, JSON payloads, error logs) and validate assumptions with tools like Postman/Insomnia—no coding required
  • Excellent written deliverables: solution design documents and acceptance criteria; crisp handoffs to Engineering and clear status communications to Sales/Customer stakeholders
  • High emotional intelligence and stakeholder management—balances Sales urgency with Engineering feasibility; credible with both technical (Information Technology/Chief Technology Officer) and business (Finance/Procurement) buyers
Responsibilities
  • Be the lead technical voice for sales: join sales calls to whiteboard architectures, answer integration questions with understanding and empathy, and build confidence with technical and business stakeholders
  • Scope new integrations end-to-end (no coding): Define requirements, data flows, and acceptance criteria; produce crisp handoffs to Engineering and clear updates to Sales/Customer teams
  • Design for reliability and security: Specify authentication patterns, retries/idempotency, rate-limit strategies, data mapping, and observability expectations
  • Create leverage: Build reference architectures, scoping templates, and FAQs to make future engagements faster and more consistent
Desired Qualifications
  • Direct experience integrating enterprise-grade ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion Cloud, Workday)
  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory/Entra ID (SSO/SAML/OIDC, SCIM) and Google Cloud Platform/Azure services relevant to integrations
  • Exposure to procurement/finance stacks: Coupa/Ariba (Procure-to-Pay), Contract Lifecycle Management tools (Ironclad/SpotDraft), Intake tools (Zip), IT Service Management tools (ServiceNow/Jira), and data warehouses (Snowflake/BigQuery)
  • Experience partnering with engineers to size work, create milestones, and define Service Level Indicators/Service Level Objectives for integrations
  • RFP/security questionnaire and System and Organization Controls 2-minded design experience (least privilege, personally identifiable information handling, secrets rotation, vendor risk)
  • Built repeatable integration templates/playbooks and sales enablement assets (reference architectures, FAQs, scoping calculators)
  • Startup/high-growth background serving mid-market and enterprise customers; able to juggle multiple deals/projects with predictable follow-through
