Position Description:

Alcon is seeking a strategic and analytical intern to assist Alcon’s Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) leaders with the development of Alcon’s ESG strategy and efforts. This intern will be trusted to own, manage, and complete a key project that will provide high-profile, cross-functional exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on at least one project, from beginning to finish (within internship timeline) and present to Senior Management (VP of ESG and others key leaders).
• Assist with daily tasks and projects assigned by the ESG Associate Director.
• Conduct research, gather and analyze data, and present findings to the team.
• Participate in team meetings and provide input and feedback on current projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to internship or co-op, and at least one additional semester following internship or co-op.
• Must be pursuing at least a Bachelors level degree in Finance, Accounting, Environmental/Sustainability-oriented degree or related major.
• Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0
• Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
• Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated)
• Ability to commit to a 10-12 week, full time (40 hours per week) summer internship

• Pursuing MBA or other Masters’-level degree
• Excellent communication skills

• Program management and organization skills
• Strategic thinking and learning-oriented mindset
