Responsibilities
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of ECI products
  • Manage and mentor all engineering teams (Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Systems), Technical Program Management and Documentation
  • Promote teamwork throughout department
  • Closely collaborate with Product Management
  • Manage activities and facilitate close cooperation & updates between R&D, Service, Operations and Engineering groups
  • Lead technical teams in creating solutions to key product challenges
  • Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive product development in a timely manner, with cost in mind
  • Continuously update/upgrade existing ECI products based on customer needs
  • Manage technical details of new product generations from prototype through production release
  • Lead the implementation of new technology, scientific/technical development into engineering designs
  • Lead the strategy for transferring research and engineering activities into formal product development processes
  • Recommend technological developments and improvements on efficiency
  • Advise the executive leadership team on creative objectives and strategies for the development of products in order to accelerate timely delivery and meet as well as exceed customer satisfaction
  • Anticipate and adjust appropriately to changes in product
  • Follow guidelines of engineering & parts change control
  • Escalate and give high priority to finding and providing field escalation solutions
  • Effectively manage multiple engineering projects under agreed upon timelines, including coordination of resources, evaluating potential business timelines, outcomes and opportunities
  • Work with the Operations Team on the transfer of products from engineering into manufacturing
  • Work with Marketing and Sales on assigning engineering priorities to meet successful deliverables
  • Developing next generation products
  • Provide solutions for product deficiencies to the customer service team in response to field related issues
  • Incorporate key or recurring issues into product development road map
  • Responsible for design of experiment for new parts and features
  • Responsible for providing timely solutions and implementation procedures for end-of-life parts
  • Identify, manage and evaluate internal and external resources to meet company objectives
  • Plan, implement, and oversee engineering strategies, procedures and goals
  • Assist management with special projects as required
