Core Development is a global team of technologists who architect, build and maintain our world-class trading platform. From optimizing our core trading engine to building custom hardware, we leverage software & hardware engineering, data science and research, to deliver the infrastructure and tools that drive our trading and business needs.
The Vendor Data Group is part of the larger operations support team at Jump and provides candidates exposure to various data vendors used in the industry coupled with the ability to work closely with end users on their consumption needs and use cases.
As a Business Data Analyst within our Vendor Data Group you will have the hands-on opportunity to work with all areas of the Jump Trading organization while gaining a keen understanding of the use of data across the firm. The role is integral in ensuring that we are able to support trading, risk and other operational support throughout the trading day in a dynamic production trading environment.
The ideal candidate will be able to partner closely with technology, driving technical requirements to enhance the reference data systems driving production trading and research. Additionally, you will spearhead the maintenance and build-out of robust business processes and quality control points to ensure seamless production integration of Vendor Data Group solutions. More strategically, you will be on the front lines of testing new data sets and technology components to help drive the business forward.
What You’ll Do:

Create and maintain critical data within our Reference Data suite including security master, corporate action, pricing and legal entity related data

Liaise closely with various trading, research and operational teams to understand the data needs and expectations

Skills You’ll Need:

A curious in approach to work, seeking to understand the technology driving the business process as well as how the data managed within Vendor Data Group impacts the process of end consumers

Ability to collate data from various sources and make informed decisions on how data should be represented internally to meet trading, research and operational needs

Ability to clearly communicate and articulate, both in written and verbal form, requirements for technology and Vendor Data Group practices to end consumers

At least 2 years’ experience in similar role in financial industry

Ability to illustrate data ownership and attention to detail

Technical Skills (a plus, but not required): SQL, Python, Linux, Microsoft Office Suite

Annual Base Salary Range
$125,000—$150,000 USD
