  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and conduct/housing management software (e.g., Guardian Case Management, Maxient, StarRez).
  • Must be able to compose correspondence to students, parents, faculty, and staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines.
  • A valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary hearing officer for violations of the Student Code of Conduct, ensuring fair and consistent adjudication of cases across the university. This includes handling residential and nonresidential conduct cases and assigning appropriate educational sanctions.
  • Serve in a rotating on-call capacity with other professional staff, responding to campus emergencies and critical incidents, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and summer sessions. Work closely with Public Safety, local law enforcement, and campus partners to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
  • Develop and facilitate training workshops for university hearing officers, conduct boards, and Residence Life staff. Ensure all staff are knowledgeable about student conduct procedures, university policies, and effective student development practices. As well as assist in the creation and implementation of educational programs that promote responsible decision-making, conflict resolution, and leadership among students. Contribute to community-building initiatives that align with the university’s mission and core values.
  • Collaborate with key campus partners such as Counseling Services, Title IX, Accessibility Services, and Public Safety to address student behavioral issues, support students in crisis, and promote a culture of accountability and community.
  • Maintain accurate records of conduct cases, prepare reports on trends and outcomes, and provide recommendations for policy or process improvements. Utilize university software systems to manage student conduct records and housing assignments related to disciplinary actions.
