Requirements
  • At least 7 years of overall software development experience
  • Extensive experience with multi-cloud environment such as AWS/Azure, and preferably GCP, along with cloud-native technologies
  • Proficiency in Python, C++ and Bash for infrastructure automation and tooling
  • Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), orchestration technologies, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi
  • A deep understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams, collaborating effectively with frontend, research, and trading teams
  • Strong problem-solving and optimization skills, with experience tackling complex scalability challenges, including user-serving infrastructure with high uptime
  • Prior experience in trading platforms or financial systems is highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Based in the Bay area or you have plans to relocate, and you are able to work from our Mountain View office at least 3-4 times a week
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and evolve key infrastructure at Arta, this includes build and deployment infrastructure
  • Enable engineering to design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure supporting both real-time and batch workflows, with a focus on high-throughput, low-latency data processing for autonomous trading, quantitative research, and user-serving servers with high uptime
  • Maintain cohesive design across multiple different projects as well as scopes in a way that manages the complexity of our cloud projects
  • Contribute to architectural decision-making, documentation, and mentoring of teammates in infrastructure best practices and automation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend, research, and trading teams to ensure infrastructure and data pipelines meet performance, precision, and usability needs.
  • Integrate third-party platforms and data providers, ensuring secure and reliable API/data stream ingestion, and handle complex external data integration challenges.
  • Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies in distributed systems, optimizing performance and resource usage.
  • Own deployment pipelines and production operations to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and observability of critical services
  • Architect and implement scalable systems that support high-throughput, low-latency data processing, critical to autonomous trading and quantitative research
  • Enforce security best practices and collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet compliance, audit, and governance requirements
  • Continuously improve the reliability and availability of production systems, using automation to reduce toil and manual interventions.
