Dining Services Kitchen Equipment RepairThe Kitchen Equipment Repairman is responsible to assist with preventative maintenance for all food storage areas and commercial/institutional kitchen equipment. The Repairman should maintain inventory of all needed parts and equipment, and ensure safety and compliance in all jobs.
Assist with Safety and Compliance
Follow all active safety awareness within the shop. Establish and follow policies and procedures, including preventative maintenance schedules needed to provide a high standard of service to the Dining Services department.
Assist with Preventative Maintenance
Assist with inspections of equipment for proper operation to ensure efficiency. Perform routine preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. Maintain and test all commercial and institutional kitchen equipment.
Complete Food Service Equipment Repairs
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency repairs in all food storage areas. Maintain knowledge of various kitchen equipment, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, gas-fired equipment, freezers and coolers, ice machines, beverage centers, hot and cold pass-through boxes, dish machines, hot and cold serving tables, small appliances, and pumps. Read and follow wiring diagrams and schematics when making repairs.
Maintain Inventory
Maintain an accurate inventory of the parts, and their locations, required to consistently maintain food service equipment with minimal downtime for repairs. Place orders for parts through the Maintenance Purchasing Agent as needed.

2+ years in commercial equipment maintenance
Preferred Experience:
1+ years in apprenticeship
Physical Requirements and Skills
Ability to lift 50+ pounds, Gauges, Hand Tools, Ladders, Lift, bend, stretch, push, or pull as needed, Meter Reading, Power Tools, State driver's license
