635 COMM. ON CONSUMER CREDIT
Basic Purpose
Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities to assess the financial condition of a business or entity. This involves performing risk-focused analysis, reviews, and statutory compliance functions related to licensees. Positions require interaction, coordination, and communication at all levels within the agency, entity under review, regulators, and other appropriate parties.
Typical Functions
Prepares and submits to mortgage licensees their renewal fee invoices based on their quarterly filings
• Assists in preparation of the Department’s annual budget
• Prepares the annual dollar change, loan rate, and refund charts
• Reviews quarterly and annual filings by regulated entities for accuracy, timeliness and completeness, and attends hearings as necessary
• Responds to oral and written communications from the general public
• Responsible for maintaining knowledge and understanding of the changes in the economy and regulatory landscape, including current and historical changes
• Works on special projects as assigned
• Conducts Risk-Focused Analysis of assigned companies to assess and monitor financial
condition, prospective solvency, and statutory compliance
• Meets with various representatives of assigned companies to discuss financial condition, statutory compliance, and/or other issues as required
• Collaborates with the examination team to communicate key risks and areas of concern
• Collaborates with agency management, senior officials of companies, regulators, and examiners to monitor financial condition and other issues of regulated entities.
• Reviews, identifies, or recommends resolutions and submits to appropriate staff
·Knowledge is required of applicable state statutes; of statutory accounting principles as well as generally accepted accounting principles; business and technical writing; conducting research, interpersonal skills, and team dynamics.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
·Knowledge is required of applicable state statutes; of statutory accounting principles as well as generally accepted accounting principles; business and technical writing; conducting research, interpersonal skills, and team dynamics.
·Skills required include good communication, both written and oral; applying statutory accounting and financial reporting; application of general business. accurately interpreting laws and regulations; and appropriate analysis.
·Abilities required include proficiency in the Office 365 environment across a multitude of applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams; being detail oriented; applying analytical and critical thinking.
Education and Experience

Starting Salary is $60,500.00 Annual.
