Requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Domain experience in cloud infrastructure, web applications, mobile applications and data engineering.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with devices, IoT, wearables, electroneurography (ENG), and/or artificial intelligence is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage several teams of software, data and platform engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful development and delivery of product software.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for team members, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Work closely with other department heads to coordinate efforts and ensure alignment with overall company goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent within the software engineering team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations within the software engineering team.
  • Lead the development and execution of the product software strategy, in alignment with the company's overall vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and product, to define and prioritize product software features.
  • Oversee the development of mobile and cloud product software, ensuring high quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Drive innovation and delivery in product software, exploring new technologies and approaches to enhance user experience and functionality.
  • Manage the product software development lifecycle, from concept to release, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Work closely with product management to understand customer needs and market trends, and translate them into product software requirements.
  • Build, organize and grow the teams responsible for multiple mobile and web applications, tied to a single cloud platform and data backend.
