  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Five or more years of related work experience in operational management are required.
  • The employee must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and automobile insurance, with the driver's license verified through a motor vehicle record check at hire.
  • The employee must have reliable transportation for timely travel to multiple assigned offices per day; reliable alternate transportation is acceptable in lieu of a driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Knowledge of dental plans, insurance fees, administrative guidelines, limitations and exclusions, reporting systems, business correspondence, business reporting techniques, and profit and loss statements is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, Epic, 1VU, BOX, and standard office equipment is required.
  • The role requires independent judgment, timely and accurate decision-making, multitasking, prioritization, organization, problem-solving, and the ability to work under pressure and with limited direction.
  • The role requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents; respond to inquiries from patients, team members, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other business community members; and interpret and apply policies and procedures.
  • The role requires the ability to apply mathematical concepts including probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • The role requires effective verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and the ability to lead, prioritize, coach, mentor, train, write performance evaluations, conduct feedback, and handle team member relations issues.
  • The role requires a strong commitment to educational advancement and flexibility in adapting processes to unique needs.
Responsibilities
  • Complete the Operations Manager Development Program through structured curriculum, on-the-job practical application, and development meetings.
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices while creating an environment that promotes company culture and values.
  • Assess, hire, train, supervise, counsel, coach, and retain right-fit team members.
  • Assess, investigate, and resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing facts and circumstances and developing timely, effective, logical, and creative solutions.
  • Execute the operational model consistently to meet identified office imperatives in partnership with the Owner Dentist.
  • Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth.
  • Manage expenses to achieve monthly goals and budget.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cash management and accounting protocols.
  • Develop the team’s ability to deliver the Perfect Patient Experience.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain open communication with direct supervisors, keep commitments, and raise issues and concerns openly and early.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and address others professionally and respectfully.
  • Use available People-related tools and resources for assessment, hiring, retention, performance evaluation, separation processes, and compensation guidance and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Report weekly to the Regional Manager on accomplishments, areas for improvement, performance goals, and system effectiveness.
  • By the end of the development program, manage Front Office and Back Office team members and demonstrate leadership and team-development capabilities.
  • Develop and implement an office success plan, including staff development and office protocols that support efficient operations during manager absences.
  • Travel to multiple assigned offices per day, including planned or unplanned travel that may change without notice.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience leading a team, mentoring, and coaching subordinates is preferred.
