  • 7+ years of experience in category management, merchandising, or a related role, with a focus on GM/HBC
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with a track record of driving category growth
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and drive cross-functional projects
  • Proficiency in using data and analytics to drive business decisions and performance improvements
Responsibilities
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive assortment and growth strategy for the GM/HBC category
  • Establish clear goals and identify growth opportunities across platforms, market segments, and emerging trends
  • Drive the promotion operations to achieve category growth objectives
  • Build and nurture a high-performing team of category buyers
  • Provide coaching and guidance on vendor management, pricing, and promotions to help the team set and achieve short and long-term goals, and growth milestones
  • Monitor performance metrics to ensure alignment with operations, vendors, and sales target
  • Lead the category team to expand category presence through strategic business operations, promotions, and pricing
  • Oversee the GM&HBC taxonomy and assortment planning for both owned and marketplace businesses
  • Work with cross-functional teams on category ranking and display on different ethnic storefronts to provide customers with a best-in-class shopping experience and drive new customer acquisition and retention
  • Ensure alignment and integration of category strategies with broader company objectives and initiatives
