Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in a security engineering role focused on threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development and cryptography.
- In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, IDS/IPS).
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, DLP, WAF, and vulnerability scanners.
- Experienced in PCI and SOC2 assessments and certifications.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Terraform, PowerShell) for automation and tool development.
- Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and experience with Azure platforms.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or SANS GIAC preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of successfully managing security projects and initiatives from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
- Design and deploy security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, and encryption technologies.
- Monitor security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and cloud infrastructure.
- Provide guidance and support to IT and engineering teams on security standard processes and risk mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and security trends to proactively identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and resolution of security incidents.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of security awareness training programs for employees.
- Continuously evaluate and improve security processes and procedures to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
