Requirements
  • PhD in Physics or a closely related field.
  • Candidates must have an established research record in experimental high energy physics.
Responsibilities
  • Foster cross-disciplinary research with sustained impact and develop a productive, well-funded, and internationally prominent research program in experimental high energy collider physics.
  • Develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring and contribute to the teaching (graduate and undergraduate) and service missions of The Ohio State University.
  • Join and complement the existing CMS effort at Ohio State University and initiate new synergistic high energy experimental research directions.
  • Engage in detector development and data analysis as part of current and future accelerator-based high energy experiments (e.g., CMS, ATLAS, milliQan, SUBMET, FORMOSA at the Facility for Proton and Photon-Based Experiments, NOvA, and DUNE) as applicable to the role.
  • Submit an electronic application via Workday consisting of a cover letter, curriculum vitae, separate research and teaching statements, and three letters of reference.
  • The search committee will begin reviewing applications on October 15, 2025 and the final deadline for application submission is November 1, 2025.
