Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
  • Proven experience in industrial design, preferably in the telecom or technology industry, with a strong track record of successful product development, from concept ideation to final implementation.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Creo, BarTender.
  • Strong understanding of industrial design, aesthetics, and usability principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Product Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create visually appealing and functional products.
  • Branding: Maintain a cohesive brand identity across all products, ensuring consistency and recognition in the market.
  • Conceptual Visuals: Provide effective conceptual renderings of new products to facilitate decision-making by key stakeholders.
  • Usability and Human Factors: Optimize product usability and ergonomics, promoting a positive end-user experience through intuitive design.
  • Consistency across Products: Maintain design consistency across different product lines, ensuring a unified and seamless user experience.
  • Documentation: Create detailed design specifications and documentation to facilitate efficient product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Markings: Ensure Ciena's products comply with industry regulations and standards.
  • Design Barcode Labels: Design barcode labels that meet industry standards and facilitate efficient inventory management and tracking.
  • Vendor and CM Management: Ensure vendors and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) meet Ciena's quality expectations for labeling, painting, and finishing, providing technical support when needed.
