  • BS/BA in Biology, Natural Resource Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Planning or a similar field
  • 12+ years of experience in environmental consulting with transportation focus or applicable fields (government and/or consulting)
  • 5+ years experience working at or for Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT)
Responsibilities
  • Manage NEPA transportation projects that involve a wide range of technical field studies, analyses, and regulatory and permitting tasks
  • Prepare proposals and support marketing efforts in with our prime engineers, potential candidates, and with TxDOT. This includes attending interviews for competitive solicitations
  • Be prepared to manage (immediately or in the near future) a team of NEPA practitioners and support their performance and professional development
  • Provide senior-level expertise and technical guidance on complex projects involving NEPA, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, federal and state laws, and agency consultations
  • Provide leadership to our Transportation team and help to mentor, train, and guide junior and mid-level staff
