Responsibilities

Foster and nurture relationships with customers
Use 3D CAD software systems to design and develop 3D models and drawings based on customer requests
Cross train in other CAD systems
Fast paced learning design innovation
Engineer and develop product designs that meet the customer's needs and requirements
Gain design agreement with the customer prior to 3D data creation
Create and manage customer drawings
Attend design reviews with the customer
Ensure all target dates for a project are met
Be self-regulated, manage your own schedule and drive your own success
Learn and develop new skills and be flexible with projects
Participate in DISHER Team continuous improvement projects with your team

Product Development Engineer - Zeeland, Michigan

DISHER is currently looking to add a Product Development Engineer to our Engineering team in Zeeland, Michigan. In this role, you will build relationships with customers and partner with them to ideate, design, and help create a variety of products that meet customer requirements. You will get to grow your skills and drive your own success.

What will make you successful:

3+ years of experience in design engineering or product development
Experience utilizing CAD in a professional setting - preferably Creo or SolidWorks
Industry experience in consumer products, medical, food, and furniture are preferable
Design for plastic injection molding experience is beneficial
Excellent communication skills essential
Demonstrated grit and determination
Willingness to learn new skills and to take on other product development or engineering projects
Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations
Currently hold a bachelor’s degree within Engineering
