Requirements
  • Food Protection Certification from the New York City Department of Health or another relevant County Department of Health at the time of hire or within 90 days of hire.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification at the time of hire or within 90 days of hire.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of administrative, building management, or related experience.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed in response to program and staff needs.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an electronic health record system.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient records.
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Ability to supervise, coach, mentor, develop, train, and teach substance use providers and other clinical-discipline providers.
  • Knowledge of Office of Addiction Services and Supports regulations on physical plant management, food services management, and fire safety management.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure program adherence to federal, state, and regulatory guidelines governing physical plant, food services operations, and fire and safety management.
  • Manage and monitor the program environment to ensure regulatory guidelines and agency safety and security policies are followed, a therapeutic milieu is maintained, and interpersonal and professional relationships remain positive.
  • Manage and monitor daily kitchen operations, vehicle and transportation systems, and the physical plant according to agency policies and procedures.
  • Supervise night and weekend staff, food services staff, facility and program maintenance staff, and the Healthcare Coordinator.
  • Provide regularly scheduled supervision to assigned staff and document supervisory sessions.
  • Identify staff training needs and plan, develop, and conduct training to maintain and improve staff competencies and compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Ensure program staff uphold the agency Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics and comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including 42 CFR confidentiality and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act privacy and security regulations.
  • Manage inventories of cosmetic, janitorial, and office supplies.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and check requests.
  • Monitor and supervise agency vehicles assigned to the facility.
  • Ensure the facility telephone system is maintained in working condition.
  • Serve as custodian of the petty cash fund as needed.
  • Compute and process client personal-needs-allowance monies.
  • Inform the Program Director of activities and significant conditions that may affect facility operations and client care.
  • Develop an annual physical plant maintenance budget at the request of the Program Director.
  • Fulfill the responsibilities and duties of a New York State-mandated reporter.
  • Participate in quality-improvement and other agency committees or work groups.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
