Requirements
  • An Associate’s degree in a related field or two years of related experience.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of software configuration, user management, and enhancement for on-premise and software-as-a-service solutions.
  • Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • General understanding of HIPAA, PCI, Office 365, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, Internet connectivity, HTTP, and electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to apply experience and education to problem solving.
  • Ability to travel between Heritage Health locations in North Idaho.
  • Ability to solve complex practical problems and manage complex analysis using deductive reasoning.
  • Ability to manage several objectives simultaneously, assign priorities, and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, maintain alertness, travel as required, and comply with the controlled substance policy.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, make decisions, and manage conflicts.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; and present information to groups.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary support contact for production applications.
  • Optimize and enhance existing software solutions.
  • Maintain the knowledge base, training materials, and documentation for all applications.
  • Facilitate data collection, validation, and delivery from software applications.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain applications.
  • Participate in committees, task forces, and workgroups.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer operating and software application problems and provide technical support as requested.
  • Assist the Application Support Supervisor with developing and maintaining application policies, standards, procedures manuals, and related access checklists.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Establish and maintain software users, user environments, directories, and security.
  • Train users on software usage.
  • Respond to network users’ questions about resource access and the operation of software programs.
  • Develop and communicate standards for software and data use, operations, and security.
  • Communicate with other departments to report and resolve software and operations problems.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies.
  • Install and test software upgrades.
  • Complete required safety training, participate in emergency response tasks and safety committees as requested, follow safety instructions, and report or correct hazards.
