Requirements
  • A current State or IRRSP Radiographer or Trainer Card is required.
  • A current Level II Radiography certification is required under an employer-based written practice such as SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or CP-189.
  • Current Level II Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, and Ultrasonic Thickness Testing certifications are required under the employer's written practice.
  • Demonstrated experience performing Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, and ultrasonic thickness inspections in industrial environments is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Proof of radiographic testing classroom hours is required.
  • A 40-hour Radiation Safety Training certification is required.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain customer site access requirements is required.
  • The ability to pass pre-employment and client-required drug and alcohol screenings is required.
  • A strong understanding of radiation safety principles and industrial radiography practices is required.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting are required.
  • A TWIC Card is required.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding is required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic testing inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, procedures, and customer specifications.
  • Perform Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, and Ultrasonic Thickness Testing inspections in accordance with applicable codes, standards, customer specifications, and written procedures.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, and Ultrasonic Thickness Testing equipment to inspect piping, pressure vessels, tanks, structural steel, welds, and other industrial assets.
  • Set up and operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Produce quality radiographs and evaluate film or digital images for acceptance.
  • Interpret and document inspection results accurately.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, customer, and company radiation safety requirements.
  • Establish controlled areas and ensure proper radiation boundaries are maintained.
  • Complete inspection reports, exposure logs, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain radiographic equipment and ensure all required calibrations and maintenance are current.
  • Communicate inspection findings with supervisors, customers, and team members.
  • Support other nondestructive testing methods when qualified and assigned.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel to customer locations as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional nondestructive testing certifications such as Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Visual Testing, Positive Material Identification, or Eddy Current Testing are a plus.
  • Experience working in refinery, petrochemical, pipeline, power generation, manufacturing, aerospace, or construction environments is desirable.
