Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the State of California.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is required.
  • Intravenous therapy certification is required.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification is required.
Responsibilities
  • Recognize abnormal findings in vital signs and commonly used laboratory tests and report them to the registered nurse.
  • Gather data on patients’ physical and emotional needs under the leadership of the registered nurse.
  • Gather data on families’ psychological needs.
  • Provide skilled and safe nursing care to assigned patients under the leadership of the registered nurse.
